Prosecutors from the Montana Attorney Generals office have filed a notice to seek the death penalty for a Montana State Prison inmate.
Clyde Cosner, 38, pleaded not guilty for the murder of fellow inmate Lee Hartford in a Powell County District Courtroom on Tuesday.
Powell County court documents say Amended Information was brought and Cosner was charged with felony Deliberate Homicide, Committed with a Dangerous Weapon.
Attorney General Prosecutors handling the case then filed a notice to seek the death penalty in this case.
Cosner is scheduled for a jury trial in October 2014.
