WASHINGTON, DC - Montana's newest member of Congress is officially on the job.
Republican Steve Daines took the Oath of Office this morning.
The Bozeman businessman is one of 82 new members of the House. His family then joined him for this ceremonial swearing in with Speaker John Boehner.
Daines defeated Democrat Kim Gillan in the November election and takes over the seat held by Denny Rehberg for the past 12 years.
Daines has been appointed to serve on the House Committees on Natural Resources, Transportation and Infrastructure as well as Homeland Security.
