SeaCast Inc. has announced it's partnership with GE Aviation.
SeaCast is a precision investment casting manufacturer.
They make castings for mining, sporting parts and aerospace to name a few.
The areospace industry continues to grow in Montana, which means there will be more sustainable jobs.
There are currently 70 employees at SeaCast.
The partnership will increase production and create a larger work force.
"We know with the increasing level of business that's coming our way we have to be hiring more people. We have to be doing training. We have to be hiring trained people and we're looking at a lot of our local resources in southwest Montana here to bring us those people," says SeaCast Inc. Vice-President Bert Robins.
Senator Max Baucus says the two companies coming together took off at his 2010 Montana Economic Development Summit.
"This is terrific. It's a good example of how Butte Economic Summits really work. SeaCast is doing very well in Butte, lining up with GE. It's one of many examples where we could continue to have many more like this, is why I'm so pleased with these economic summits. They really work and provide jobs for Montanan's," adds Baucus.
Robins says, "Everybody ends up a winner. SeaCast is a winner, GE Aviation is a winner and the biggest winners of all are the people in the Butte community."
More details about the partnership will be released at a later date when GE officials and Max Baucus make a formal presentation in Butte.
