The Montana Department of Revenue is reaching out to victims of natural disasters.
Residents may qualify for property tax relief if their home suffered damage from wind, wildfire, drought, or flooding.
Business owners who have lost equipment to natural disaster may also qualify for tax relief.
Representatives with the agency say this is an effort to aid in long-term recovery after a disaster.
Agency spokeswoman Mary Ann Dunwell said, "As Montanans we are resilient, so communities are resilient and they will recover. So this is just something to help property owners get back to normal."
