A 15-year-old boy died on Satuday morning after the pickup truck he was riding in rolled off I-15 north of Vaughn.

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle accident just after 8 a.m.

The Ford F-250 was traveling north on I-15 near mile marker 294 when the vehicle fish-tailed.

After turning on the ice, it left the roadway on the right shoulder of the road, rolling once and ejecting the teen.

MHP said the vehicle rolled on top of him.

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 52-year-old Great Falls driver was also injured.

Although the driver was going less than the speed limit posted, officials say he was driving faster than conditions allowed on the icy road.

MHP says that neither person was wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol was not a factor and the accident is still being investigated.

Authorities have not yet released any names.
