Montana junior U.S. Senator Jon Tester sat with Senator Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) during President Barack Obama's State of the Union address. Tester describes Isakson as a friend.

Following the speech Tester said, he thinks strengthening the economy will require Republicans and Democrats to work together. He went on to say, "With challenges come opportunities, we have incredible opportunity here to create the kind of jobs we need in the 21st century and move the economy forward in a way where our kids and grandkids can be proud."

He promised to work with anyone to help cut wasteful spending and to cut the debt. Tester says that will lead to building a stronger middle class.
