Three Forks airport one step closer to several upgrades

THREE FORKS - Pogreba Field in Three Forks received the nod from Gallatin County Commissioners for a five-year capital improvement plan.

The plan spreads out multiple improvements to the airport, including over $2 million in upgrading the taxiway and runway in 2015 and 2016. 90% of the funds used for the upgrade comes from the federal government, with the remainder coming from local and private funds.

Also on the improvement plan, acquiring more land in 2017, allowing more room for aircraft hangars, and taxiways.
