A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the area through 6 AM Friday morning. Snow totals vary depending on elevation, but most lower valleys can expect to see between 1-3 inches of snow while elevations between 4000' and 6000' can expect anywhere between 3-6 inches. Elevations above 7000' could see 7-14 inches during this storm. The main travel concerns are for area passes. Most passes in the affected area are reporting snowpack and slick roadways. The Bozeman area should expect between 1-3 inches of total snow with temperatures falling from the upper 30s to the low 30s through the day. Snow is expected to taper off and skies should clear overnight leaving lows in the upper 20s.
