Townsend man claims final Montana Millionaire prize

HELENA - A Townsend man claimed a $10,000 Montana Millionaire prize with a ticket purchased at Bob's Supermarket in Townsend.

Richard Doornbas has played Montana Millionaire for the last few years. He was reading the newspaper on Jan. 1 and recognized the first three digits of his ticket number and knew he had a winner., according to a news release from the Montana Lottery.

The Montana Millionaire Final Drawing was Jan. 1 and included the $1 million grand prize as well as two $100,000 prizes and three $10,000 prizes.

This was the last Montana Millionaire ticket that had not yet been claimed.
