Townsend man dies in ATV rollover

A man from Townsend has died in an ATV crash.

It happened at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the 61-year old man, whose name has not been released, was driving downhill on Little Cottonwood Road when he lost control.

The ATV rolled, killing the man.

The MHP says that the man was not wearing a helmet, and that neither speed nor alcohol were factors.
