BOZEMAN - Traffic was at a standstill at around 5 p.m. on the eastbound lane of the Interstate 90, near Bozeman. There was an accident involving a truck that was pulling a trailer that was pulling a boat.
Montana Highway Patrol trooper Adam Kloster said the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday on I-90 Eastbound near mile marker 313.
The camper and the boat were not properly secured and the driver lost control.
No one was injured but the driver was issued a citation for unsafe equipment.
It is completely legal to carry such a load of 75 feet which is the limit; however, you must have it properly secured which the couple did not.
The truck, the camper and the boat all sustained damage and unfortunately the couple had just purchased the boat.
It took crews about an hour and a half to clear the highway.
We will update this story as we know more.
