MISSOULA - A trial has been set for June for the woman who is accused of running over a Missoula police officer in January.

Dawnette Eaton is being charged with Assault with a Weapon, Escape and leaving the scene of an accident.

Officer Deni Poling and Lieutenant Rich Stepper tried to arrest Eaton for violating her probation on Jan. 7.

They approached her, told her she was under arrest and that's when Eaton allegedly put her car in reverse, cranked the steering wheel, ran over Poling and kept driving.
