NEAR DRUMMOND - Two people have died in a rollover on I-90 near mile marker 143.
The vehicle was heading west on I-90 when it drove into the median and the driver over-corrected, causing it to flip upside down, throwing both the driver and the passenger.
One person landed near the overturned SUV while the other person was tossed to the other side of the highway.
Tom Gill from the Montana Highway Patrol led the investigation of the rollover, and believes the passengers were not wearing a seat belt, but can't comment on whether or not alcohol or distracted driving were factors.
A doctor who noticed the wreck while driving pulled over to volunteer and administer CPR.
The Life Flight helicopter from Missoula arrived on the scene along with multiple agencies including firefighters and the Drummond Volunteer Ambulance.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
