UPDATE: Deliberate homicide charges filed in Dixon home invasion

(UPDATE) THOMPSON FALLS - A man is facing deliberate homicide charges in last week's deadly home invasion near Dixon that took the life of Doug Morigeau.

Nathan Lee William Calvert, 32, who has a Missoula address, was arrested on scene and is now being held on $1 million bond at the Sanders County jail in Thompson Falls.

The Sanders County Justice Court reports that Calvert made his initial appearance on Friday and that he's due back in court later this month.

Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel said over the weekend that six agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation are helping out with processing what's being called a very involved crime scene.

Sanders County Undersheriff Lanny Hensley told us Friday that officials are looking to find out if there was a connection between the suspect and the couple.

While the motive in the invasion isn't known yet, Calvert does has a violent criminal past. He was convicted of Partner-Family Member Assault in Missoula in December of 2010 and is listed on the Montana Department of Justice Sexual or Violent Offender Registry as a violent offender.

The woman who was also hurt in the attack at the home on Montana Highway 212 near Dixon was released from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle over the weekend where she had undergone surgery.

THOMPSON FALLS - A Sanders County coroner has released the name of the man who was killed in last week's deadly home invasion in Dixon.

The victim has officially been identified as Doug Morigeau who was killed at his home on Montana Highway 212.

A woman who was also hurt in the attack was released from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle over the weekend where she had undergone surgery.

Morigeau worked at Two Eagle River School in Pablo, which cancelled classes on Monday "due to a death of a staff member." However, school staffers were still asked to report to work on Monday.
