DILLON - A girl involved in a semi versus vehicle crashin Dillon is recovering well, according to Trooper Paula Williams with the Montana Highway Patrol who responded to the crash on Wednesday.
The semi was making a left hand turn onto I-15 North, according to Williams. The semi was pulling two trailers. The young driver hit the stinger between the trailers head-on.
The driver was distracted by use of a cell phone when the crash occurred, according to Williams. The vehicles drivers-side and passenger-side airbags deployed. She was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. There was no damage to the semi.
Traffic on the entrance and exit ramps over he highway was slowed for more than an hour.
