UPDATE: Montana teen believed to have shotgun, headed for Livingston located

UPDATE, 1:30 pm: The MT Department of Justice tells us that Zinke has been found in Park County and is reported to be safe. The Missing/Endangered Person Advisory has been canceled.


The Montana Department of Justice has issued a Missing/Endangered Person Advisory for a Montana teen who is believed to be in possession of a shotgun and possibly heading to Livingston from Sheridan County.

Eric Zinke, 17, is described as a white male; 5 feet, 11 inches; 153 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

He is reported to be driving a white 1999 Chevrolet Malibu two-door car with Montana license plate number 34-3568A

If you have seen Zinke or the car or have information about his location, you are asked to call the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office at 406-765-1200 or your local law enforcement agency.

Authorities have not yet released any other information about the nature of the alert.
