UPDATE: Wintry Travel Forecast

Winter Weather Advisory is now up for southern Madison and southern Gallatin counties from 5am Wednesday through noon on Thursday.

Areas impacted: Raynolds Pass, Targhee Pass and West Yellowstone.

Snow accumulations: 3"-6" with up to 8" over higher peaks.

West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph will create areas of blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibilities at times to one half mile.

Winter Weather Advisory is also up for the rocky mountain front from 5am Wednesday through noon Thursday above 5,000'.

Areas impacted: MacDonald Pass, Marias Pass, Flesher Pass and Rogers Pass.

Snow accumulations: 5"-10" with a foot possible at higher elevations.

West winds 20 to 30 mph gusting at times to 45 mph will create areas of blowing and drifting snow and visibilities under a half mile at times.

Winter Weather Advisory is up for the Lower Clark Fork region including I-90 from 2am Wednesday through 5am Thursday.

Areas impacted: Look Out Pass to Haugan.

Snow accumulations: 6"-10"

Gusty west winds are possible as well.

Winter weather advisories are issued when periods of snow, blowing snow or ice accumulations will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
