CBS affiliate in Portland, Oregon, KOIN reports the suspected gunman is among three killed.

A fourth person sustained traumatic injuries. Authorities believe the man acted alone. The suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

At least one person is dead in a shooting that occurred at the Clackamas Town Center Tuesday afternoon.

Lt. James Rhodes, a spokesperson with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, said the shooter "has been neutralized." He said that as of 5 p.m., the scene was no longer active.

Rhodes would not confirm if the suspected shooter was alive or dead. He released no details about the suspect or a possible motive. He also did not confirm what kind of weapon the suspect was carrying.

Brandon Paxton with the Clackamas Fire District No. 1 said that multiple people had been shot, but did not have an exact number. Dispatchers with the Clackamas County Department of Communications said the shooting was first reported at 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses inside the mall reported hearing multiple gunshots. The town center was evacuated and placed on lockdown. Three triage areas have been set up near the mall's movie theater.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to the mall, which is located at 11900 Southeast 82nd Ave.

The Interstate 205 southbound exit ramp to Sunnyside Road is closed. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
