Jon Tester declaring victory in Montana U.S. Senate race; Rehberg concedes

GREAT FALLS- With 71% of precincts in Montana fully reported, U.S. Senator Jon Tester is declaring victory in his run for re-election to the U.S. Senate.

Tester is holding a 9:30 a.m. news conference in Great Falls Wednesday at the Holiday Inn on 10th Avenue South.

As of 9 a.m., Tester (D) had 212,906 votes, challenger Denny Rehberg (R) had 195,933 votes and Libertarian Dan Cox had 28,321 votes.

Rehberg released a statement Wednesday morning about the Senate race saying that he respects the decision of Montana voters, and "I congratulate Jon on his victory in this hard-fought campaign."
