Mining City Volleyball hosted a tournament at Montana Tech to raise money for Mariah's Challenge this weekend.
"We are raising money for a good cause," said Patrick O'Rourke, founder of Mining City Volleyball. "We are playing a sport that we love, and it's a great weekend to go out and play some volleyball."
Mariah's Challenge is a scholarship fund dedicated to the prevention of underage drinking and driving in Montana. Each team paid $100 to register, and all proceeds go to Mariah's Challenge, according to O'Rourke. People traveled from Seattle and Spokane, Washington to participate.
Representatives with Mining City Volleyball hope to make this tournament an annual event.
