BOZEMAN - The Warming Center in Bozeman is moving to a larger location this weekend at the corner of Griffin and Industrial, a move that couldn't come soon enough.

The Warming Center opened in mid-November at its old location on the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Its been very busy serving about twice as many people as last season. According to the Human Resources Development Council, 45 people have stayed at the Warming Center so far this year. Last year at this time that number was 20.

Luckily they're be moving into the new building which can accommodate nearly twice as many people, including families.

The bad news is that while usage is up at the warming center, donations are down.

"The Warming Center is 100 percent community funded which means we're only able to operate based on the donations that our community provides to the Warming Center to make it succeed." says Sara Savage at the HRDC.
