HELENA - Steve Bullock (D-MT) took office as the 24th governor of the State of Montana on Monday.

Bullock and his Lt. Governor John Walsh were sworn in on the Capitol steps before a crowd of hundreds.

Bullock says his administration will build on the successes of the past and work toward a better future for all Montanans.

"Montanans all want the same things: safe schools and world-class education, good paying jobs that grow Montana's middle class, access to public lands and blue ribbon trout fisheries, and the ability to work hard in your career and grow old in a place you love," Bullock said.

He says he is ready to get to work to ensure Montana is a place where the "improbable becomes achievable."
