A winter storm warning will be in effect starting at 6 PM Wednesday evening through Noon on Thursday. Expect temperatures to stay in the 40s during the day with periodic rain showers that could include a few snowflakes above 5500 feet. As temperatures fall this evening and snow levels begin to lower, we could see between 6 and 12 inches of snow along many of the mountain passes. Bozeman will likely see little accumulation through Thursday, but Butte could see anywhere between 2 inches and 7 inches of snow by Thursday afternoon. Most of the weather models are keeping the track near 3 inches of accumulation through Thursday for Butte.
