WHITEFISH - Tens of thousands of people will gather in Washington D.C. tomorrow for the biggest climate rally in U.S. history.
And those efforts aren't limited to the Capital: They'll also be happening in Montana.
Several Flathead Valley locations have been designated for Sunday's Forward on Climate rally, with the main gathering in downtown Whitefish at the corner of Spokane Avenue and Second Street.
Community volunteers say climate change is a national issue that hits close to home for them.
Whitefish residents have expressed concerns about the amount of open water in Whitefish Lake over the last few winter seasons-believing it to be a direct result of climate change.
Organizers say the main goal for tomorrow is to spread the message that it's time to take action now.
