BILLINGS - For many gun owners, finding ammunition has been anything but easy. Nationwide, ammo along with firearms, have been flying off the shelves and prices increasing due to high demand.
Locally, gun stores have been experiencing the same trends. However, Lon Bauer, owner of Butt's Gun Sales in the heights, says low ammo quantities may not be permanent. He says gun wholesalers have simply become overwhelmed with increased gun sales and have fallen behind. Bauer also says that retailers have no way of knowing when more shipments will be delivered, due to the fact that wholesalers never reveal shipment delivery times.
