MISSOULA - A woman who is accused of running over a Missoula police officer earlier this month pleaded not guilty to three felony charges during a Tuesday court appearance.
Dawnette Eaton is being charged with assault with a weapon, escape and leaving the scene of an accident.
Officer Deni Poling and Lieutenant Rich Stepper tried to arrest Eaton for violating her probation on Jan. 7 at the McDonald's on East Broadway when the incident happened.
The officers approached Eaton, told her she was under arrest, and that's when Eaton allegedly put her car in reverse, cranked the steering wheel, ran over Poling and kept driving.
Eaton remains in jail on these charges as well as for violating her probation.
