An area around Bobcat stadium will be transformed for Saturday's first-ever Science and Engineering Festival. Festival goers can see everything from robots wrestling to a weather balloon launched from the field. There's also kids races in the morning.
And one more cool thing: you can help in an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest Astronomy Class.
"We're gonna have a lot of different scientists and researchers here that the kids will be able to meet and to do projects and activities," said Connie Depner, festival coordinator. "(It's) hands on with these researchers and get them excited about science and engineering."
The Astronomy Class begins at 12:45 p.m.
