Wyoming fugitive appears in Gallatin County court accused of assaulting pregnant woman

BOZEMAN - A Wyoming fugitive appeared in a Gallatin County Courtroom today accused of assaulting a pregnant woman.

Eric Pierce, 20, was arrested on a warrant out of Laramie County, Wyoming.

He faces charges of strangulation of a household member and aggravated assault and battery against a pregnant woman.

The charges date back to Dec. 1, 2012.

Gallatin County Judge John Brown set Pierce's bail at $25,000 after he decided not to waive extradition back to Wyoming.

A status hearing is scheduled in three weeks.
